You won't want to miss this "event of the Christmas season".

The orchestra will perform some of your favorite Christmas pops tunes and a BCO Christmas tradition performance of Manheim Steamroller's Stille Nacht. Then, the BCO will be joined by approximately 75 members of the choruses of Healing Heart and First United Methodist Church Burleson in a performance of the ever popular Michael W. Smith’s Agnus Dei. All of this will take place in the ambiance of the sanctuary of First Baptist Church. It is sure to make for an unforgettable way to celebrate the Christmas season.

The concert will be at 7:30 pm on December 13th at First Baptist Church, Cleburne. Seating is general admission.

All Seats RESERVED. No more tickets available for the First Baptist Church, Cleburne concert.

Note for the Burleson supporters: the Agnus Dei with orchestra and choir portion of this concert will be presented at Burleson High School Auditorium, 100 Elk Drive, at 11:00 am, on December 18th. The Christmas pops portion of the concert will only be presented on December 13th in Cleburne.

Brazos Chamber Orchestra will perform in Burleson at the Burleson High School Auditorium with The First United Methodist Chancel Choir and then again at the Arlington Seventh-day Adventist Church with the Arlington Sanctuary choir. Both concerts are free and no ticket reservations are needed.

The Brazos Chamber Orchestra will enjoy an evening of Dinner and Music at the Cleburne Conference Center 1501 West Henderson Street, Cleburne, TX. Brazos Chamber Orchestra brings Christmas to Cleburne

The Brazos Chamber Orchestra will be presenting a Christmas concert on Monday, December 10 at 7:30 p.m. It will be performed in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Cleburne, 105 E. Willingham, two blocks north of the courthouse square. The concert will be free to the public. This Christmas gift from the orchestra to the community will be a great family treat.

The BCO is a 45-piece orchestra that performs enjoyable music for its audiences. Whether you like Bach and Beethoven or Gershwin and John Williams, you will love the Brazos Chamber Orchestra. Each concert is designed to please everyone.

On this Christmas concert you will hear many of your seasonal favorites. The orchestra will be performing In the Bleak Midwinter, A Christmas Festival, The Christmas Waltz, O Holy Night, God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman, Sleigh Ride, Christmas at the Movies and the always-beautiful Stille Nacht, featuring cellist Todd Evans of Cleburne.

The music director and conductor, David Anavitarte and his wife Kathy, founded the orchestra in 1999. Maestro Anavitarte is the Chairman of the Fine Arts Department at Southwestern Adventist University in Keene and is Director of the Choral Program at SWAU. The goal of the Brazos Chamber Orchestra is to bring orchestral fine arts to the communities that it serves. It has been accomplishing this goal for 10 seasons.

The members of the orchestra are professional and semi-professional players from Cleburne as well as Fort Worth, Arlington, Granbury and other cities in the area. Dr. Kurt Sprenger, the concertmaster, performs with the Fort Worth Symphony and is the conductor of the Fort Worth Civic Orchestra.

Brazos Chamber Orchestra Presents "American Classics" Concert

The Brazos Chamber Orchestra is excited to announce the 2006-2007 season’s Spring concert “American Classics”, featuring guest soloist Scott Marosek. BCO audiences may remember Mr. Marosek’s recent exciting performance of a movement from the Brahms Piano Concert No. 2 in B major, Op 83. He will once again join forces with the BCO in a performance of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 8:00 pm at First Baptist Church, Cleburne. The combination of Gershwin’s music and Mr. Marosek’s playing is certainly something you don’t want to miss.

This program will also feature music from America’s 20th century including Copland’s Variations on a Shaker Melody, a medley of Hoagy Carmichael tunes, Gershwin’s I Got Rhythm, and a collection of music by Leroy Anderson. So that the movies have their part of the concert, audiences will hear selections from Mission Impossible and Raiders of the Lost Ark. This program will be repeated on Sunday, April 29, 2007 at 3:00 pm at Acton United Methodist Church in Acton. Both of these programs are free to the public.

The BCO, a 45 piece orchestra now in its 9th season, continues its tradition of programming a cross section of classical and popular works that audiences will recognize and enjoy. David Anavitarte, Music Director and Conductor and his wife Kathy, web site design and marketing, founded the Brazos Chamber Orchestra in 1999. Anavitarte is the Chairman of the Fine Arts Department at Southwestern Adventist University in Keene and is Director of the Choral Program at SWAU. Dr. Sprenger, who routinely performs with the Fort Worth Symphony and conducts the Fort Worth Civic Orchestra, is a violinist that is truly worth coming to hear.

Pianist Scott Marosek is currently the Adjunct Professor of Piano at the Southwestern Adventist University Department of Fine Arts and Music. Mr. Marosek has performed in many cities around the world including Beijing, Guangzhou, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. He was the pianist for Shreveport Symphony Orchestra for the 2005-2006 season. Mr. Marosek is on the faculty of the University of North Texas Community Music School and the Eastern U.S. Music Camp, and taught for three years at the University of North Texas, where he is completing his Doctorate study in piano performance.

The Brazos Chamber Orchestra performs in Cleburne and other cities in the region. Many of the members of the orchestra live in and around Cleburne. Brazos Chamber Orchestra in Concert January 25 and 27, 2007

The Brazos Chamber Orchestra presents an exciting Winter concert series with performances on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at 7:30 pm at First Baptist, Cleburne and on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 8:00 pm at Alvarado High School. These concerts, free to the public, feature familiar melodies from a variety of styles of music, including classical, Broadway, the movies, and fiddle style music. Selections from the classical repertoire include Wagner’s Die Meistersinger Prelude, Rossini’s William Tell Overture, and the finale from Respighi’s Pines of Rome. Tunes from two Broadway favorites, My Fair Lady and Oklahoma, and movie favorite, Hook, are sure to be enjoyed by those in attendance. Fiddle music lover’s will enjoy hearing the BCO string sections perform Fiddler’s Fury composed by Alexander Safford.

The Brazos Chamber Orchestra has performed a number of concerts at First Baptist, Cleburne. The intimate feel and great acoustics at this beautiful church provide for an enjoyable evening for concertgoers. Saturday’s performance in Alvarado marks a welcomed return of the orchestra to this city. Performing at the relatively new Alvarado High School auditorium should be a great experience for those in attendance.
